This is my first major project using Flex and the Mate Framework. This application is titled FiLEX (Flex / File combination) and is a file manager system to be used on any server running Coldfusion or Railo with Flash Remoting. Being built using Flex, the application provides a friendly and interactive interface from editing in place to dragging and dropping.
FiLEX allows to read and manipulate the structure of a directory on a server, functionality such as browsing, adding and deleting directories / files is available all through a simple user interface.
All full list of functions at this current stage :
- Read directories
- Create directories
- Edit directories, either directory name or uploading files to
- Delete directories with drag and drop interaction
- Unlimited directory nesting
- Uploading files from your desktop to the server through the simple user interface
- Multiple file upload with feedback via a loading bar to indicate progress
- Add files to any directory within the specific directory
- Delete files from any location with drag and drop control
- Summary of files to be uploaded, files can be uploaded from multiple locations from local system
- Download files for viewing
Unfortunately a demo is unavailable at this time as it is still undergoing testing to ensure all is running fine. In the meantime, please check out the screenshots and the demo video. If you are interested in this project and are looking to use this application, please leave me a comment on the form below and i will get back to you.
